Description

BLAST Command Line Applications.

The NCBI Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) finds regions of local similarity between sequences. The program compares nucleotide or protein sequences to sequence databases and calculates the statistical significance of matches. BLAST can be used to infer functional and evolutionary relationships between sequences as well as help identify members of gene families.

Install package

If the required channels aren't in your workspace yet, add them first:

pixi workspace channel add --prepend https://prefix.dev/conda-forge https://prefix.dev/bioconda

Then install the package:

pixi add blast

Install globally (CLI tools)

For packages that expose command-line tools, install globally to use them anywhere:

pixi global install --channel https://prefix.dev/conda-forge --channel https://prefix.dev/bioconda blast
